BOMBERS

The Bomber feature went caution free as Brandon Waters grabbed the early lead with point leader Brandon Knudtson following. Rob White took over the runner-up spot on lap 3 and set his sights on Waters. The leaders battled side by side until lap 11 when White made a power move to grab the lead with Brandon Waters close behind as battles back in the pack included Mike Piercy, Shawn Strong, Joe Francis and Jack Hamer all swapping spots. Heading for the last lap a car spun in turn 4 as White drifted to the highside and Brandon Waters charged to his inside and grabbed the win at the stripe by a front bumper in grabbing his first win in the season followed by White, Strong, Piercy and early contender Jack Hamer.

MIDWAY POSTED THIS:

The Bombers feature saw Jack Hamer and Rodney Yost jump out to an early lead as they fought back and forth for the top spot  while Brandon Waters, Rob White, point leader Brandon Knudtson and Mike Piercy were battling. Up front during a long green run, Hamer and Yost were side by side going through lapped traffic as Knudtson, and last weeks winner Shawn Strong and Piercy were gaining quickly. Contenders Waters and White pulled to the pits ending there chances of a win while Hamer and Yost still battled up front. The caution waved on lap 10 as Chad Cromer's strong run to the front ended as he spun. On the restart, Knudtson and Piercy went around Yost as Hamer's car began to get very hard to go through the corners as Knudtson took the lead on lap 13 with Piercy close behind and Strong coming quickly also. Despite a late race challenge Knudtson took the win with Piercy, Strong, early leader Hamer and Yost completing the top 5 as 14 of the 21 starters finished on the lead lap.

The Bomber feature would be all Shawn Strong but not without several challenges from Rob White and a great drive by 18th place starter Shawn Hatcher. Strong would grab the lead on the opening lap with White in tow the entire distance. Hatcher had worked up to second place with 2 laps to go and was challenging for the lead until he got caught in lapped traffic. Strong would hold off a late surge by White to grab the win with White, Jerry Lankton, Brandon Waters and Billy Waters completing the top 5.

Midway Speedway results 7/18/08

Again week in and out the Bombers provide plenty of action as the field took the green with points runner-up Brandon Waters grabbing the top spot early with point leader Brandon Knudtson following closely. On lap 4, Knudtson took the top spot as Rob White had snuck into the mix as the lead trio ran 3 wide. Water's chance for victory was denied on lap 9 as a flat tire took him out of action. Knudtson and White fought back and forth as Keith Cheever had ran as high as 4th until lap 10 when problems sent him out of the action. Up front, Knudtson held off repeated challenges to grab the win with White, last weeks winner Shawn Strong, Jack Hamer and Wayne Coffman in the top 5
