The Bomber feature provided plenty of action as point leader Brandon Knudtson grabbed the opening lead with Brandon Waters close behind followed by last weeks winner Shawn Strong following. Strong would overtake Knudtson for the lead as Joe Francis was closing quickly. With Strong trying to pull away, Knudtson who has showed a fast car in the late stages of the races stayed close behind with Francis trailing. Going into the last 3 laps, Strong was working lapped traffic as Knudtson made a move to close and pull even with the leader Strong. On the last lap,Knudston pulled even on the backstretch and took over the top spot to grab his 5th win of the season along with grabbing the points title. Strong ended finishing second followed by Francis,Rob White and 13th place starter Tim Jones.
Despite threatening rain storms’ all around, the Midway Speedway still held a different type of racing event with a pit crew challenge and 3 different rain delays
Brandon swept the whole weekend by winning the season championship, the feature Friday Night and both features Saturday night.

Great finish as Special K jumps to the early lead over Brandon Waters with Strong in tow-good racing as Strong takes the lead and Francis starts going forward. In the end-Midway traffic plays a role as Strong stays low and Special K takes the middle lane to take the lead on the last lap in recording the win.
LEBANON MIDWAY SPEEDWAY'S 2008 SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2008
The chase to be claimed the 2008 Track Champion at the Lebanon Midway Speedway will end this Friday Night Sept 12 with the season championships on the line. A total of 263 different drivers have competed in the 6 classes for points this season and there are still several titles up for grabs on the Action Track of the Ozarks.
In the Super Stock class-2006 champion Ben Newell holds a slim 40 point lead over his father JC Newell while the battle for third place is hot and heavy also.
The USRA Modified crown will go to the wire as 3 drivers are battling hard. Unofficially 2005 Champion Jamie Ragland has fought back to lead challenger Jimmy Willis by only 22 points and defending champion Eric Hudson by 32 markers as Friday Night will end the Midways track points as several drivers are battling to secure a top 10 spot.
The B-Mods has defending champion Jason Otto with a narrow 41 point lead over Mickey Burrell with several drivers shuffling within the top 10.
In the Factory Stock Class,Tim Petty has locked-up the season title over Derek Brown as Brown seems to have second place locked-up also as third place is still up for grabs. This will be Petty's first Championship at the Midway.
Defending Sprint Car Champion JP Compton will make it back to back titles as he has secured the title with Rusty Quick hanging on to a 22 point cushion over Scott Wedelstadt for the runner-up spot.
The Bomber Division has been Brandon Knudtson's to lose, but the Lebanon driver has been a consistent top 5 runner every night as Brandon Waters is holding on to a career high second place in the Standings.

The Bomber class was running for a big winners share of the pure with $500 to win on the line as Rob White grabbed the early lead from his pole spot with Joe Francis following with newcomer Micheal Merritt following. White would set a fast pace until lap 8 when a 4 car incident took White to the pits along with Tim Jones, Landon Johnson and Russell Ireland. This put Francis in the lead with Shawn Strong following. On the restart, Francis and Strong battled until lap 14 when Strong made the pass around Francis. Francis tried several times to get back were charging from deep in the field including Rodney Yost, Jones and point leader Brandon Knudtson. On lap 18 Strong was able to pull away from Francis in grabbing the big payday with Francis, Brandon Waters, Micheal Merritt, and Tim Jones completing the top 5 as 13 of the 22 starters on the lead lap.
