Lebanon,Mo.-The Chase for the season crown will continue Friday Night Aug 1 at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway. Following a very successful FactoryStock special event last Friday Night action will continue as the FactoryStocks,USRA Modifieds,Bombers,B-Mods,305 Wingedsprints and Missouri Dirt LegendCars will be competing on the Action track in the Ozarks.The SuperStocks will get a well deserved Friday night off this week so that they can tune up for the stretch drive in the chase for the 2008 Season Championship. Going into this weekends action the USRA Modifieds finds Jimmy Willis on top of the track standings with a very narrow 26 point lead over 2005 champion Jamie Ragland and a 38 point lead over defending champion Eric Hudson.So far this season the USRA Modifieds has 8 different winners out of 12 regular season point shows with Ragland and Hudson each winning 3 races while single victories have went to leader Willis,Justin Neuman,Tony Jackson Jr,Jesse Stovall and Johnny Bone Jr. The FactoryStock class has Tim Petty riding a consistant season leading the points over Derek Brown by 38 points while this class has produced 9 different winners so far.Only Mark Bourey and Aaron Gustin have taken home more than 1 checkered flag. The B-Modifieds has Jason Otto with a 42 point leader over Mickey Burrell and a 47 point lead over Josh Woody as 7 different winners out of 12 races have visited victory lane.Jason Otto heads the win list with 3 this season as a strong field of cars have been showing each week. The Bomber class finds Brandon Knudtson in the top spot with a 106 point lead over Brandon Waters.5 different driver have captured victories this season as Shawn Strong heads-up the win column with 5 while Knudtson has captured 3 victories. The WingedSprints finds defending Midway Champion JP Compton in the lead with a 42 point lead over Rusty Quick.There has been 5 different winners out of 9 races this season as Compton has captured 4 wind while J.Kinder has 2 wins. The SuperStocks will not be in action this Friday night but has been very competitive as former champion Ben Newell hangs on to a 19 point lead over his Father JC Newell as 6 different drivers have grabbed wins with Ben Newell leading the pack with 5 victories. Aug 8-The USMTS Touring Modifieds will be heading to the Midway with the top Midwest drivers tackling the local drivers for the $2,000 to win feature in the first race of the Hunt for the National Championship.
